Hey Ladies, We are going to get right down
to it today! Ladies now about this illusion we have about the stretch of our
shoes. You know when they are out of your size and you think the size below
will stretch out enough. They look leather so they should give if I stretch it
long enough.
Lies! All lies you have been told. If your
shoes were to be full leather and not just leather upper- meaning the shell of
the shoe, if your feet were to swell they would lift but not extend
lengthwise. If they were fully leather
shoes they would only stretch a millimeter or so, and for some that may be
enough but it will not stretch a half a size up. I have been in the same place
trust me. I bought a pair of WONDERFUL pumps, just half a size down (because no
one sell half sizes – especially a 9 ½ - besides Superb Couture Footwear).
I was told if you walk in them they would
stretch-
FAIL.
If
you wear layered socks on and walk in them for hours-
FAIL.
If
you put a shoe stretcher in them they will stretch-
Complicated.
My results were stretched shoes but you
have to continuously put the stretcher in there and then if you do remember to
put them in every night you risk breaking the binding of the shoe. Once the
seam is broken of the binding is cracked there is no longer a point in the
shoe.
Now
by some wonderful way of magic your shoes did stretch with one of these tricks.
The quality of the shoe would weaken because you are literally stretching it
out. Just like a skirt too small you wear it often or stretch it out too much
it will rip. What you would have left over would be just a reminder of what it
use to be. Also they won’t be good for your feet, too tight shoes are the
stepping stages of corns, bunions, and hammertoes.
Really
think about it before you by that shoe you think you just have to have. Is it
worth it to have pretty feet or pretty shoes?
And to be honest sometimes it really
is the shoes that win but if they do. Be warned and cautious.
Let
us know if the pretty shoes won, did you regret it the next day? You have any
stretching tips or warnings let us know too. We want you guys to tell us what
we don’t know or what we might have forgot.
