Foot Problems Associated With Nerve Dam

Hi Ladies,
Now I know you ladies have heard or know that our body is fully connected in some form or another. Your pinky toe is connected to your liver, and your middle finger is connected to your big toe. A nerve connects to another nerve that connects everything, one long tree branch. Have you all ever thought that some of the back pains you may have may be connected to how you treat your feet. Even though your feet may not hurt, they may direct that pain somewhere else.
Maybe this will be an easier explanation, hunger headaches. Your stomach doesn’t necessarily hurt (may growl but no pain) but you have a pounding headache because you haven’t eaten. It goes with many other parts of your body they all are connected.
I just want you all to think about that.
If you are having difficulties moving your feet it may not be a centralized foot problem. For example, if you pinched or hurt a nerve in the lower back and it is irritated or compressed, it can cause pain to radiate along the major sciatic nerve and into the foot. The sciatic is composed of five nerves that join at the lower part of the spine, the sciatic nerve extends down the back of each leg all the way to the toes and connects the spinal cord with the many of the muscles in the leg and foot.

Which could result in a variety of foot issues:

Restricted ability to bring the foot up (heel walk) This specific symptom is the inability to bring the foot upward and may be numbness in the middle lower leg and foot. Heel walk may occur if one of the spinal nerve roots in the lower back that innervates the sciatic nerve is affected.

Foot heaviness or weakness (foot drop) Foot drop refers to a weak or heavy feeling that makes it difficult or impossible to flex the ankle and bring the front of the foot up. Foot drop due to nerve root problem will usually produce pain that radiates down the outside of the calf and over the top of the foot to the big toe.

Difficulty walking on tiptoes, bottom of foot pain may happen. Typical symptoms of pain in the bottom of the foot may include weakness in the calf muscle, making it hard to walk on the tiptoes, raise the heel off the ground, or even complete everyday activities like walking or driving.

If you think you may have any of these go to the doctor. There are no home remedies or quick fixes go to your traditional doctor not your podiatrist. If you ladies have any other problems go the doctor.

Let us know what they said. If you had any of these problems let us know we want to hear from you, your solutions and problems.

How To Identify The Pressure Points on Your Feet

Hello Ladies, Welcome back! Today was a hard day. Your feet hurt, your back is aching and your bra is way too tight. All you need is a foot rub and a drink and you my dear will be on cloud nine. I know the feeling and the need. So today we are going to go over the pressure points of the foot so next time you have a rough day you can them exactly where to press and how hard to rub your feet.
The hands and feet together make up more than half the bones in the human body. There are 206 bones in the human body; 106 of these are in the hands and feet (27 in each hand and 26 in each foot

.  Every part of the anatomy is connected to the foot and is represented by a reflex-zone located on a specific part of the foot.  By accurately applying pressure to these specific areas, the relevant part of the foot and/or body is contacted. Use your thumbs and fingers to apply pressure to the exact areas you want to relax. Apply enough pressure to generate a response, but not so much that the pain is constant and severe.  Be sure to apply pressure to the entire foot reflex zone

Reflexology is a state of deep relaxation where you become open to suggestions, much like hypnosis you become very receptive. And much like hypnosis some believe in it and some do not. Reflexology affects your organs and glands by stimulating pressure points on your body. The feet have over 15,000 nerves in them, which is why the carry so many pressure points for your entire body.

Is It Okay To Go A Half Size Smaller?

Hey Ladies, We are going to get right down to it today! Ladies now about this illusion we have about the stretch of our shoes. You know when they are out of your size and you think the size below will stretch out enough. They look leather so they should give if I stretch it long enough.
Lies! All lies you have been told. If your shoes were to be full leather and not just leather upper- meaning the shell of the shoe, if your feet were to swell they would lift but not extend lengthwise.  If they were fully leather shoes they would only stretch a millimeter or so, and for some that may be enough but it will not stretch a half a size up. I have been in the same place trust me. I bought a pair of WONDERFUL pumps, just half a size down (because no one sell half sizes – especially a 9 ½ - besides Superb Couture Footwear).
I was told if you walk in them they would stretch-
FAIL.
If you wear layered socks on and walk in them for hours-
FAIL.
If you put a shoe stretcher in them they will stretch-
Complicated.
My results were stretched shoes but you have to continuously put the stretcher in there and then if you do remember to put them in every night you risk breaking the binding of the shoe. Once the seam is broken of the binding is cracked there is no longer a point in the shoe.
Now by some wonderful way of magic your shoes did stretch with one of these tricks. The quality of the shoe would weaken because you are literally stretching it out. Just like a skirt too small you wear it often or stretch it out too much it will rip. What you would have left over would be just a reminder of what it use to be. Also they won’t be good for your feet, too tight shoes are the stepping stages of corns, bunions, and hammertoes.
Really think about it before you by that shoe you think you just have to have. Is it worth it to have pretty feet or pretty shoes?
And to be honest sometimes it really is the shoes that win but if they do. Be warned and cautious.

Let us know if the pretty shoes won, did you regret it the next day? You have any stretching tips or warnings let us know too. We want you guys to tell us what we don’t know or what we might have forgot.

Tips to find the quality heel

Hi Ladies! Welcome back to us.

When it comes to my purchases I need to make sure it is worth every penny even if it’s only 5, I want each penny to count for something.  So I wanted to find out the top signs to find in quality shoes. Even some designers may not even meet all the requirements. As time passes the name becomes bigger than the quality and that is NOT OKAY.
So we don’t fall victim to the hustlers we are going give you some tips to shoe shopping for quality.

Tip 1- Wear your TRUE shoe size. If you are an 8 ½ wear an 8 ½ not an 8. Don’t focus on the number think about how would look after a couple of hours in that too small shoe. Your face would be a lot happier if your feet were. Get your size! + You won’t have to stretch them out with extends the life of your shoe also.

Tip 2 - Look at how the sole is attached to the shoe.
If the sole is stitched on, make sure the stitches are even and look secure. If it's glued on, check to make sure that there is no space around the edges where the sole could start to peel off. You want a sole that's seamless and isn't going anywhere.
-More expensive shoes are usually sewn to the sole, hand stitching or more likely machine stitching is more time consuming.

Tip 3 -Pay attention to the lining. In high-quality shoes, the insole lining is usually made of leather, not a synthetic material, and goes all the way around the inside of the shoe. If the shoe only has lining on the bottom but not the sides (that's where people get confused on stretching there shoes, if it doesn't have a full leather insole it's not going anywhere)

Tip 4- Material matters.
Leather is the most popular material for high heels make sure that you buy shoes that aren't made out of synthetic fibers like nylon or plastic. These will be extremely uncomfortable after a few wears, and won't last nearly as long
Also with non-leather shoes they don't allow your feet to breathe so you will more likely slip out of your shows because of the moisture wrapped inside the shoe.

Sidenote: Manufacturers put a stiffening agent in the heel area, or the counter of the shoe, so it retains its shape. The stiff nature of the counter makes it a prime spot for friction and blisters. If you have leather shoes they will be more pliable and allow your feet to move with the shoe instead of a plastic shoe that doesn't move with the foot it forces it to stay in place.

Tip 5-  A quality high heel will be securely attached, is reinforced with double stitching and the stitching will not be visible to the naked eye. Make sure yur shoes are tight. Take a good look at the sole before you take it to the cashier. All the embellishments need to be as secure on the shoe also. If you see stitching make sure it is quality all around the shoe. Otherwise the adornment will fall off and then your sole will separate.
Tip 6-  High quality high heel shoes generally have leather heels and will have a rubber or nylon top piece located at the very bottom of the heel.
A leather heel aids in the overall structural design of the shoe and will make you feel secure when walking in them. Unlike high quality heels a cheap heel will be made of plastic.  When you walk in the plastic heels they will feel unstable. If you do spot a shoe that has a plastic heel avoid it at all costs. I know ladies the $10 heel is so cute and affordable, but when you get the corns or your heel breaks on you, you'll wish you got the better shoe.

Style Trend for SS'15

Hello Ladies! I come baring gifts.
The gift of upcoming shoe trends! Yayyy, I know you ladies are just as excited as I am about these trends so lets jump right in. This photo is from Stylesight, a trend forecasting website. So you ladies are getting the best of the best

I’m sure you ladies have seen a few of these shoes before these are the upcoming styles of Spring/Summer 2015. If these styles have not already hit your favorite show store, I am sure they are on their way.
In an earlier article I talked to you guys about the 70’s trend in footwear. In this drawing you can see current trend: the thick heels and high platforms. You can also see the repeating ankle straps and foot straps. You ladies are in for a lot of tan lines.
The 70’s trend are met which some futuristic prints and a nod to the mod period. Color is the key! No pastels or pales for this summer.
Gladiators are always a returning trend but added a new flavor of the heel. Height is in and everywhere. The platforms and tall heels are in for the gladiator, which is usually a flat shoe but not this summer.
Also to my older generations, welcome back the Mule!
The best way to go minimal for the summer is a chic and modern shoe with a 90’s attitude.
