Footwear for you

There are so many different shoe styles, colors, and constantly changing trends. Every woman should have her go to pump and sneaker to be fabulous in whatever weather without any fashion hiccups.  Footwear is as much an extension of your personality as the shirt you put on. Everything you put on is a non-verbal clue to your personality.

Every style shoe has its do’s and don’ts.

What season to wear? Do I wear stockings/ no stockings? It is paired better with jeans or skirts?  So many variables I know so let’s try to break it down so you can be the best you in style. This seasons shoe trend is: 70’s style. So you ladies will see a lot of chunky wooden heels, fringe, funky patterns, and platforms.

Loafers and Converse may not be on your radar this summer but add it to your list; it is a great transition shoe. Transition shoe meaning it can go throughout different contrasting fashion seasons, like the dark earth colors and full foot covering fall styles into warm pastels colors open toe spring style. It’s all in how you wear it. If you are confident in your style no one can tell you that you are out of trend. Before you know it you will start your own.

Kitten heels are a popular trend this spring also. If you haven’t already started to see them stock up in your favorite shoe store be prepared. I personally like to see a kitten heel paired with a nice full midi a- line skirt. I think it is a classic style, a head nod to the 60’s era.

Spring/Summer shoes usually don’t require a pair of stocking with the shoes. It throws off the style of the shoe the freedom of the look that summer brings. Stockings are restraints in the summer and an extra layer in the winter. 

It’s all in how you feel in the shoe

            But Ladies: You must be careful of where you choose to express your personality. If you work in a conservative corporate office those 4in patent leather hot pink pumps just might not be the place to wear them. Although they may make you feel fun and sexy, the work place is not the place to test the rules. Unless, you’re head honcho then you have free range but still remember you are an example for your employees.

The safest pump to always keep in your closet is the 3 ½ in black pointed toe. It can spice up any outfit, it’s the safest shoe to wear to work, date, girl’s night out. Black is always a safe color to wear for any occasion. Also 3 ½ in is just high enough to catch a nice eye without having to soak your feet the next day.

Its better to be fabulous forever than just for a day, remember to take care of your feet ladies they take care of you.
